Spring has sprung in Columbus (finally), and I’m not sure if I have ever been more ready for warm weather! Being from Michigan harsh winters usually don’t phase me, but this one was exceptionally brutal and the cabin fever is REAL.

This spring will be the last of our relaxing weeks for a while, because come summer we are in full time wedding/travel mode! Planning a wedding is like layering on another full time job, and although I’ve loved every second of it, I am definitely ready for some relaxing days on Lake Michigan’s coast this summer!

I get a lot of questions around where a lot of my pieces are from. I’m all about investing in the classics ( a la the Balmain glasses, although Saks off fifth has them for a bargain in a killer nude shade) and going fast fashion for the trends (bc honestly I had a shirt that said bonjour five years ago and got rid of it…). Zara is and forever will be my favorite fast fashion retailer, but I am partial to ASOS as well (no sales tax ayeee).

Colorado was nothing short of breathtaking this week, with my second trip to the snowy state wrapped up! Traveling is always exhausting, but I feel nothing short of grateful for the fact that I get to see so many beautiful places thanks to the career path I chose.

The ART hotel in downtown Denver was like staying in a museum. Modern, clean and contemporary this was by far one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Breckenridge may quickly become one of my new favorite cities traveled. It’s quaint mountain town feel, mixed with its gorgeous scenery was the perfect combination, although my body FELT that altitude change hard.

I️ am finally getting this post up after a week long sinus infection, and crazy work week (small victories)!

Philip and I️ were able to walk through our reception venue again last weekend since booking, and fell in love with it all over again. It’s amazing how quickly wedding planning flies by, especially since we are both working full time! We often like to reminisce on when we first met in college and all of the free time we used to accommodate! The textures, tones and overall atmosphere of our reception venue is exactly what we were picturing, and I️ can’t wait to post more pictures once the day arrives. Until then, here are a few teasers!
